Midsummer Herbfest Moves to Waba Cottage Museum
Starting in July 2016, the breathtaking gardens at the Waba Cottage Museum will be home to the long-running celebration of healthy living, the Midsummer Herbfest.
Herbfest will take place on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Waba Museum – 24 Museum Road in White Lake, Ontario.
Founded by the Ottawa Valley Herb Association in 1994, Herbfest quickly became a must-attend festival for gardeners, nature lovers, environmentalists, artisans, foodies and families.
Hosted at the Ottawa Herb Garden since its inaugural year, Herbfest celebrated its 20th anniversary and final year at the Herb Garden in 2015.
Over the course of the twenty years, visitors to Midsummer Herbfest were treated to a wealth of alternative and healthy living inspiration. From culinary treats to the Chef Cook-Off Challenge, guests were also offered programming rich in demonstrations, educational lectures and garden tours.
Artisans and vendors from Ottawa, the Ottawa Valley and the far reaches of Ontario and Québec showcased their wares in the outdoor market, which boasted herbal products, eco-services and a wide-variety of healthy living goods and foodstuffs.
Rounding out the merriment was live music, dancing fairy performers, face painting, herbal tea sampling, henna tattoos, and yoga in the gardens.
The Township of McNab/Braeside is dedicated to continuing and further developing Herbfest and welcomes vendors and attendees to explore all the Waba Cottage Museum in White Lake has to offer.
Visit Herbfest on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Waba Museum – 24 Museum Road in White Lake, Ontario.
